Mending Salve
Using a botanical, organic healing salve for scar massage after a cesarean or hysterectomy not only promotes healing and scar mobility but also plays a crucial role in supporting pelvic floor function. When abdominal scars are tight or restricted, they can affect the surrounding muscles and tissues, including those connected to the pelvic floor. By gently massaging the scar with a healing salve, you enhance tissue flexibility and release tension, allowing for better coordination and function of the pelvic floor muscles.
Scar mobility is essential for optimal core and pelvic health. When scar tissue is supple and mobile, it reduces the likelihood of adhesions and restrictions that can lead to pelvic discomfort, tension, or even issues like urinary incontinence or pelvic pain. The organic, botanical ingredients in the salve provide soothing nourishment, helping to restore balance to the entire abdominal and pelvic region, ultimately supporting better posture, movement, and overall pelvic floor function during recovery.

How to use:
Apply to healing wounds or scars, and gently massage 1-3 times daily. This salve is safe to apply to wounds once skin is no longer broken. Do not apply to open wounds.
About the ingredients:
Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) - extracted from the seeds of Oenothera biennis, a drought-resistant plant native to the southwest that contains substantially high amounts of gamma linoleic acid (GLA). GLA is an omega-6 fatty acid capable of reducing inflammation and redness associated with wounds, scars, eczema, and dermatitis.
Shea, Cocoa, & Kokum butters - thick and creamy nut butters reduce trans-epidermal water loss, improving skin’s moisture content.
Beeswax - helps form a natural waxy coating over skin, maintaining skin’s moisture without blocking oxygen exchange. Adds grip to salve to aid with scar massage.
Calendula extract + Lavender, Frankincense, & tea tree essential oils - chosen specifically for their skin soothing & antimicrobial properties.
