Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer a few ways to schedule an appointment : Call or text 505.333.9337

    Complete the form above.

  • No – New Mexico is a direct access state state. We do not require a referral from a provider. However, if you get one, this can help integrate your care across us and your other providers, and helps to ensure you get the most consistent support. A referral can be provided at the time of your evaluation, and can come from any of the following: OB, Chiropractor, Nurse Midwife, or Primary Care Physician.

The referral should read: Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapy Evaluation and Treat

We also welcome clients who are self-referred.

  • We do not contract with any insurance companies. We choose to be an out-of-network provider in order to provide better, more holistic services for you. By not contracting, we can offer higher quality care and services that truly encompass you and your goals, and are not limited by what insurance dictates or thinks your goals should be, or how long your sessions can be, or how many visits you get. We do take FSA/HSA cards. We can also provide you a superbill upon request for you to submit to your insurance company. This can help offset the cost of your specialized care.

A superbill is a receipt that includes your diagnosis code(s), treatment codes, billing units, and how much you paid. Reimbursement depends on your insurance and the out-of-network percentage. For more questions regarding your out of network benefits, please call your insurance company as every plan & company is different.

  • 90 Minute Evaluation: $165 + tax

    60 Minute Treatment Sessions: $145 + tax

The pricing has been thoughtfully set based on the breadth and depth of the detailed, compassionate, and personalized professional care you receive, and a realistic expectation of operation costs to maintain services and materials that are of the highest quality. However, it is also Medusa's desire to provide services that are accessible to most, if not all. If you have concerns about cost, but also very much would like to receive this specialized occupational therapy, please contact us. We are open to discussing payment plans!

  • Each evaluation is different depending on your personal needs, but all do follow the below general outline:

It is a thorough, compassionate, 90-minute assessment and goal planning session. The evaluation will allow you time to share your you: your story, your concerns, your interests, your fears, your goals. We will discuss your roles and routines, both previous, current, and desired, observe your breath and movement patterns, and how you go about your day. We can assess your functional mobility, posture, and any pain you are having. We may provide screening for mental health, sensory profile, or others, as needed. An internal exam (if appropriate) to assess deeper muscular function is also an option, but is at your discretion, and consent is always ongoing and respected. We will talk about what brings you joy, what is meaningful to you, and from there, work with you to determine the best plan for achieving your goals. Everything about the evaluation is both comprehensive and fluid, allowing for organic information-gathering.

“I went to Medusa for help to ensure healthy pelvic floor as I continue running postpartum. Nadya was great to work with, I genuinely felt like I was meeting with a friend. She creates a comfortable atmosphere, and I appreciated her follow ups past our scheduled sessions.”

WHY WORK WITH US

We treat the whole you. Pelvic health isn’t just about muscles—it’s about how you move, breathe, feel, and live.

No Kegel obsession. We go beyond “just do your exercises” to find what truly works for your body. And your life.

Healing is complex, and we know that. No awkwardness. No dismissal. We create safe space for you to heal on your terms.

Pelvic health meets real life. Rehab shouldn’t feel like a second job. We help you integrate healing into your actual, messy, beautiful life.

WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

Medusa isn’t just a pelvic health clinic—it’s a space that’s built for you. We embrace a radical shift in health care and take a whole-person approach, tackling more than just physical pain. We also dive into the mental, emotional, and sensory layers, because healing is about so much more than just what can been seen or understood on the surface.

We are trauma-informed, but not in that stiff, clinical way. We meet you where you are, and help you take your power back. It’s not about quick fixes. It’s about meaningful, lasting change that fits your life, not just your symptoms. You’re a badass, and we’re here for that.
